Detour in the Kitchen

Preparing my contribution to our Thanksgiving dinner at a relative's house, I was of course more interested in photographing the cranberry sauce and muffins than I was in preparing them for our shared meal. I did get the job done, but not without taking a little detour. I've always wanted to photograph those lush, bright and yummy cranberries, and this time I did it.

Since today is very damp and dreary, dark and drizzly, here in New York and over much of the country, I thought I'd upload a couple of bright shots to add color to your day.

Cheers and bright, sunny weather to all of you, wherever you live!

  1. Lynda the photos are not just amazing but tasty. I love cranbarries, and I do the same, I actually photograph my prepared dishes, more just for my own use so I don't forget what I made, so I can repeat it, and so I know when last time I made it, may be that's crazy, but the digital camers are really addictive.

Thanks for your comment on my blog, and I left you a comment on the kudu cow comment about the feeds. I wanted to let you know that I really don't know where the problem is, so I outlined what I did to get the feeds. May be you can try once again, sometimes things don't work and sometimes they do. However, if it persists, I will ask others to try the same. Thanks for pointing out, appreciated, Anna :)

  7. This is a classic evidence of the inner opening happening. Expression of the creation remains the same yet perception gets the clarity as we open up within ourself. taking one beyond the sense of taste only.
    beautiful!!!

  11. I can honestly say I've never "wanted" to photograph cranberries... but I'm not a photographer (although I do love those picture perfect moments life offers). That's one of the things I love about "blog-bouncing", it's a chance to see the world through the eyes of others... and your view of the world is berry beautiful. *soft smiles*
