Garden Harmony

Gossamer Peach

Garden Harmony

Sometimes the scenes in our gardens are of such harmony and grace as to be truly an inspiration, even among the weeds or wildflowers that may take root there.

Not only do our gardens emerge and bloom in predictable patterns, year after year, but they delight us with unanticipated surprises, as well. I think we should be thankful for both the predictable beauties, as well as the continual serendipity of unexpected combinations to delight the eye and calm the soul.

  1. I love that first flower (Gossamer Peach). It's beautiful but then so are some weeds I've seen. Everything has beauty we just have to take time to see it. Hope all is well.

  2. Kia ora Lynda,
Seeing such vibrant beautiful colours in the midst of a grey cold winter day here in New Zealand warms my soul.

  5. Hi Michelle! Sorry I'm late in my responses. Just trying to keep our heads above water with construction, here.

Yes, beauty is all around us all the time, if only we empty ourselves of goals and compulsions and preoccupying thoughts, long enough to see it!

  6. Robb...I wish you warmth in winter, body and soul, and always the expectation of the spring, and new adventures, to bring you joy!

  7. Anna... Sadly, the second shot is a bit blurry in my original, so I can't enlarge it. :(

It's always good to see you, Anna. Thanks for coming by.

Hope everyone is well, by you.

  8. Jackie... Good to see you back on the blogosphere, my friend!

Hope it's not too overwhelmingly hot where you are.

Did you start your new class yet? I'm excited for you!

I will always love sharing with nice people like you, my dear...

  9. Lynda, oh my now you have really gone and done it. I am so humbled that you have added my badge to your site.

I am actually teary eyed. Thank you so much. Today is one of those days where it almost seems impossible to ever reach our goal. This really lifted my spirits.

Also just so you know. You, Kathy and Kim are three of my greatest inspirations.

I love your work, your writing and most especially I simply love the person you are.

  10. JACKIE...That tear is contagious! Now I've got it, too.

Don't be humbled; be PROUD of the loving and expressive person you are, and be PROUD of your art and your ability to perceive beauty and goodness in the world around you.

We never really reach our goals, but that is a good thing. If we had a definitive and finite goal and stopped there, the process would be truncated. We need to stay IN the creative PROCESS, find joy and beauty and affirmation along the way.

Thanks for being lovely YOU, and a welcome (and affirmative) presence in my blogging life.

Get on out there with your camera, lady! And get ready for painting class!!!

Warm hugs to you, Jackie. ((( )))

NOTE: Please, no more memes, schemes, or awards. They're fun and they may help us to know each other better, but I'd rather spend the time reading your posts and having you READ mine!
