Thank You to Chris Dunmire at Creativity Portal, and to Imagekind

Thank you, Imagekind, for featuring my digital print "Magic" on your home page today!

********************

And a great big THANK YOU to Chris Dunmire, editor of Creativity Portal, for featuring "Peripheral Vision" this month, in her Blogging the Creative Journey series!

It's the second blog in the list, if you want to read it. And the link to my interview by Molly Childers is listed there, if you would like to read that, as well. Molly writes interviews on creative people, and is "currently working on a series of articles on journaling, and another on muses from different cultures." Molly is an articulate and creative spirit, in her own right.

And Chris Dunmire, editor of both Creativity Portal and Creative Slush, is a creative powerhouse. Her sites have something for everyone interested in any aspect of creative process. She does a marvelous job of including and collaborating with artists and writers, and building her wonderful sites. Chris is one of the nicest, most creative and dynamic people I've met in cyberspace, and her positive spirit and energy have inspired me since I first discovered Creativity Portal a few years back. A great big thank you and kudos to you, Chris, for all you do to inspire and bring creative minds together. You are indeed a coach and facilitator!

All images and text c Lynda Lehmann. If you would like to view more of my art or make a purchase, please visit Lynda Lehmann Painting and Photography or my gallery at Imagekind, where you can choose from several sizes and paper types or buy my prints plain or matted and framed.

Thank You to SlogBite for Featuring My Blog, and to Absolute Arts for Featuring "Electric Landscape" Tomorrow

I just want to share with you that that my abstract acrylic painting, "Electric Landscape" has been chosen to be among the featured artwork on the homepages at World Wide Arts Resources and absolutearts.com tomorrow, February 28. The feature is for the day and the rotation changes every few minutes. If you want, you can stop by at http://wwar.com/ and http://www.absolutearts.com/ to take a look at the featured paintings.

I know some of you have already seen this piece and I apologize for pulling it out again. But I want to share my two minutes in the sun with you. Who knows, maybe I'll pull in a new buyer! It's good exposure, at any rate.

Since we have a forecast of rain for Sunday, I may have to bring my paintings home from my show tomorrow instead of Sunday. If that's the case, I may miss my painting on Absolute Arts. Thank you, Markus, for featuring me!

Another person I want to thank is Mel Kaye over at SlogBite, for featuring me on his site this week. Please go over and check out this wonderful new blogger's directory and community if you haven't already done so. Mel is doing a great job developing the site and he thinks of all the angles. I have a feeling this is one blogging community that's going to be around for a long time!

I think that Mel should run for Congress, because he solicits our opinions and then actually considers the feedback he gets. Kudos to you, Mel! (I tried to insert the "Dancing SlogBite Guy" in this post, but he wouldn't cooperate.)

INTRODUCING KAREN BAUDER

I want to introduce you to Karen Bauder. I've been so impressed by Karen's generous spirit, skills, and creative energy that I wanted to feature her on my blog. Where did we meet? Well, on the internet, of course. I've only known Karen for a few months through WWAO, Worldwide Women Artists Online, of which we are both members. In just a few months, I've seen Karen call on her web design and writing skills to make or modify several websites, and she's always ready to include, feature, and acknowledge her fellow artists. This is my tribute to Karen for her creativity, wit, and the big heart that goes with them.

Here's what Karen has to say about her art and artistic journey:

I started at my father's side as a child; listening to his wild adventures and watching him touch paint to canvas. Under his tutelage I developed a passion for art. I studied art & philosophy while getting a degree in design and became a professional artist with work collected all across the United States, Canada, England and India. I am an abstract artist creating in paint and pixels and pulling images from my imagination. Two of my digital works are currently on display in Germany at the Art World Project and one will soon be appearing in the Mendocino Arts Magazine in California. You can currently find me creating full time in my studio in Texas, still listening to my father's wild adventures as he now sits at my side watching me create.

Karen's passion comes across in her enthusiasm and in her work. She calls herself the "Accidental Artist," but I think her wonderful personal attributes are no accident. And I love her art, as well! As you can see, her digital abstracts are unique, conceptual, and visually stunning.
