I'd like to thank a few blogging friends who have shown the spirit of community by being inclusive.
First I'd like to thank all of you who voted for me in the Saatchi Showdown. My painting "Untitled Gray," shown in my last post, had received 750 votes last time I checked, and that's not a bad showing. I didn't win, but with only one winner of each round, out of thousands, winning is unlikely. As we all know, it's how you play the game that counts, and of course, half the battle is showing up for the game! here are the two finalists from the last round: Paola Carlini and Kevin Gerien.
Next I want to thank Nikki at Ethiriel, who has done a short article on my art. Stop in at Nikki's site when you get a chance, because she always has a variety of art featured and it's an eclectic and exciting collection.
Next I would like to thank Niels at My Camera World for his great photography articles. He has inspired me to try new things, including intentional camera movement. You can view all my shots from my "Night Lights" series at my numerous sites or in future posts. Thanks, Niels, for your informative and clear posts! Right now I'm addicted to the sense of surprise and discovery I get from purposeful camera movement. Gee, I hope I didn't destabilize my in-camera stabilization feature!
I want to thank Hanna at Amore, Poesie by Hanna for her kindness in including some of my art in her past posts, and Shinade at The Painted Veil for giving me a mention and for her friendliness and support.
And Kim at Laketrees deserves mention for all her posts that benefit the blogging community, including her periodic compilation of Best Art Blogs. Kim truly shows a kind and inclusive spirit, and deserves our appreciation for taking the time to respond to comments, run contests, and more.
I likewise appreciate those bloggers who regularly show up on my page to read my posts and comment, but for the sake of brevity, I won't mention you all here. (You know who you are!) Thanks you to all of you!
