Peace settles over the lake at dusk, like a balm to the soul. Except for the occasional plaintive call of a loon from far away, there is only a deep and penetrating silence. The forest settles into shadow while rich swaths of color still play in the western sky. Image and text c Lynda Lehmann.
I've been posting a lot this week. I love to share the beauty of nature and I blog whenever I have the time. I certainly don't want anyone to feel pressured to comment when I'm putting up so many posts. But I do hope you enjoy my photos!
This image is available at my primary site at www.lyndalehmann.com, as an 8 x 10 inch print in archival inks, matted (acid-free) to 11 x 14 inches and ready for framing. You can also purchase it at Imagekind un-matted, matted, or framed.

ReplyDeleteA visit to your blog is always like a great escape... a vacation when one can't be afforded.
I love the tranquility, the sense of peace, and the chance to "get away", even from my desk chair.
Beautiful imagery.

fantastic capture, excellent colors
ReplyDeleteLynda with photo like that who doesn't want to leave a comment. Title 'A Time of Peace' is just right for this photo, and to not forget we need that time of peace in our life. And no pressure at all from you, Anna :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karoly! I looked at your Ariestrade site. Good luck with your marketing services! I wish you much success with it.
ReplyDeleteMerging Point, I love the poetry of your words, "an immense silence is its benediction." How beautiful! Thanks for commenting!

ReplyDeleteAnna, I think we all have the capacity to make our own peace, if we make it one of our priorities to do so. There is such beauty around us, and if we turn a bit inward, we can find the capacity for building all kinds of inner resources. The ability to appreciate beauty is one of them. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me.
ReplyDeleteDavid, you're welcome!
