Much to my surprise, and a delightful one it was, I've just received this "Blogging Mentor" Award from Mary Ann at "Maryannaville." It was given to her by Sue of "Blogging Sueblimely" http://www.sueblimely.com/ . Mary Ann in turn, gave it to me, Kim at "Laketrees" http://laketrees.blogspot.com/ , Carol at "My View of IT" http://carolsplaceforpeace.blogspot.com/ , and Colin at "Life" http://grottynosh.wordpress.com/ .
Here is the link to Mary Ann's post, which explains it better than I can. http://maryannaville.blogspot.com/2008/01/january-is-national-mentoring-month-in.html
Mary Ann, Sue, Kim, Carol and Colin, I still haven't learned to embed names of sites with their URLs, so you'll have to bear with me on that (probably for a few years by the time I get around to biting the bullet to learn HTML, he he...) I did the best I could, for now!
And I will in turn, pass the award again to Kim of "Laketrees," who really does make the Blogosphere a brighter, more friendly place, to Max at "Max" http://maxcouti.blogspot.com/ for being so willing to share and communicate about ideas, creatively and without judgement, and to Ellen at "Positive Communication" http://marcomblog.web-log.nl/marcom_blog/ , for doing her part to bring attention to issues that matter. And I'm giving it to Anna at "My Only Photo" http://myonlyphoto.blogspot.com/ for always being considerate and supportive and nice. Mary Ann, I'm sending it back to YOU too, because you also do that, and because I just plain LIKE you! But ALL of you are mentors to me, in one way or another!
My Upcoming Show
Lynda, thank you so much for this nice surprise - a blogging mentor award, wow, and your kind comments. Thanks again, Anna :)
ReplyDeleteLynda, you're hilarious! For the amount of time spent toward refusing to learn the simplicity of anchoring takes more time than to just learn it. Utilizing the directional carrot, [<] to your left prior to the html address secured with quotation marks both in the beginning of the address and in the rear after the equal sign. I've separated the segments in the equation with brackets. I did that in order to get it unrecognized by the computer so that you can see how simple it is. Remember to start with the left directional. [<]
ReplyDelete[a href =anchor]
["http://innersights.blogspot.com"] [>] address anchored and redirects it to -> Peripheral Vision <- is how to write an anchor. Of course, mine will be different than yours. ["http://maryannaville.blogspot.com"] [>] Maryannaville. The end of the equation is<[/a]> minus the brackets. It's function is to connect the [<] to the ending result. The anchor closes off the equation.<[/a]> Again, minus the brackets. It secures the <[a href=] anchor.
haha Lynda ..I'm feeling giddy ...thanks so much for passing this award onto me :)
ReplyDelete2 weeks ....oh I hope the time goes slowly for you ....I will be sending good vibes to you and of course we expect lots of photos of your exhibition too !!!
Saboma, I didn't realize it's that simple. I've been very preoccupied these past two months with all the tasks I have to do for my show, which is now in two weeks. But I'll try this when I have a few minutes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pointer! (I didn't even know it's called "anchoring.")
:)
Saboma, do you mean that I should exactly copy what you did with my P.V. address, minus ALL the brackets?
ReplyDeleteKim, thanks. I wish there were more itme in a day, and I know you must feel the same way for yourself.
ReplyDeleteI hope to have photos of my show to post. Who knows how it will go...lol...
Hello Lynda!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for this wonderful award :D!
Now let me accomodate myself on my chair...ok: thank you so much for sharing this award with me; and for your most kind words about me *bowing*. I am so honoured that you would find a mentor in me, thank you so much *bowing*!!
Now, if you wouldn't mind I would like to help you with embeding names of sites with URLs: when composing you select the word you wish to embed; than you click on the "globe/world" icon on the right of "Font colour" (T with a colour square); then you insert the URL in the Box and click "ok"...
I hope I could be of any assistance :D!
Thanks once again, dear :D!
Cheers
Congrats on your reward and I hope your show is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteMax, thank you, and thanks for offering to help me with the anchoring. I tried today, as per Mary Ann's instructions, but I didn't get it.
ReplyDeleteI will have to look at a book when I have more time. I'm snowed with stuff to do right now.
But it's great to see you and I hope you enjoy your award.
I'll see you soon!
Hugs to you...
