ReplyDeletethe colours are incredible.....the purple hues in the last one are beautiful....do you ever use these as inspiration for your paintings?
these are really beautiful - I love close ups like this that abstract the subject and focus in on beauty that is often missed :)
ReplyDeletegoldengoddess, thank you so much for your enthusiasm! beauty is all around us, and when we focus on it, we're so much richer!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you evlahos! Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeletehi kim,
ReplyDeletei've always been fascinated by texture and the abstract patterns contained in things. i think this is reflected in my paintings, although i haven't painted these subjects directly, not in the sense of copying. but always, nature is my point of departure.
good to see you....have a nice weekend, kim.
i totally agree with you, vivien, we should CHOOSE to focus on the beauty all around us. we would be a lot happier...
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors. I thought the first one was sandstone. :)
ReplyDeleteBeth Ellen, I thought it looked like stone, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, abstraction allows us to interpret a subject in so many ways. :-)

ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Lynda
